Bridal Customisation

Roughly a third of our bridal work is customised. Bring us a photograph — from Pinterest, from a film, from your grandmother's album — and we will tell you honestly whether we can make it, what it will cost and how long it will take.

How it works

1. Consultation. In person at our Ahmedabad store, or over a video call. Bring reference images and, if possible, a photo of the outfit.
2. Sketch and quote. Within 3–4 working days we send a hand sketch, a materials specification and a fixed quote. There is no charge for this stage.
3. Advance. 40% to begin. The balance is due before dispatch, or on collection.
4. Making. Typically 5–7 weeks. We send progress photographs at the setting stage.
5. Fitting. A free fitting and adjustment at our store, or a size exchange by post if you are outside Gujarat.

What we can change

• Stone colour — ruby, emerald, sapphire, pearl or a combination.
• Metal tone — antique gold, bright gold, rose gold or rhodium.
• Length, drop and weight, which matters more than people expect for a full wedding day.
• Adding or removing pieces from a set — a maang tikka, a nath, a haath phool.
• Recreating a family heirloom that is too fragile to wear.

What we will tell you honestly

If a reference image is a solid-gold piece worth several lakhs, we will say so rather than make a disappointing imitation. If a design will be uncomfortable after two hours, we will suggest a change. We would rather lose the order than have you unhappy in your own photographs.

Lead times during wedding season

October to February is busy. For a November wedding, start the conversation by August. We keep a small number of rush slots but they carry a 20% surcharge.
